In 1995, we opened our doors with £3,000, a rail of carefully chosen pieces, and an unshakeable belief that London deserved something real.

For years, it was everything we had dreamed of. Then the high street changed. The big chains multiplied. Rents soared. Familiar faces started disappearing — the little shops we had grown up loving, gone one by one. Our own customers drifted away. And there was a moment, quietly, when we nearly let go too.

It was a Sunday evening in 2008. We were sitting in the back of the shop after closing, a pot of tea between us, a letter from the bank on the table. We didn't say much. We just looked at each other — the way you do after thirty years together — and we made a decision. We were not going to abandon the women who still believed in us.

So we started again. Slower this time. More deliberate. More honest. Every piece we have chosen since that night has been chosen with care, with intention, with love for the woman who will wear it.
